Some people have a style, a smile and a way of speaking that energize everyone around them. Ludovic is one of them. He gets you excited and draws you in. His career has been rich in experiences and travel, as you might guess from his ability to speak English, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish. Ludovic has the traveler’s gift of gab. “I’ve always loved languages,” he said. “Sartomer offers a linguistic tour of the world. I’m having a great time! There are lots of people with a fascinating and unusual background here. At 40, I’m not a rookie anymore, but I’m still hungry to learn.” After earning a degree in international business, doing a stint at Total and then creating an Internet start-up in Bolivia, Ludovic returned to his native Paris region two years ago. “A temp company spotted my résumé on LinkedIn. Sartomer was looking for people. A month later I signed a permanent employment contract. I didn’t know the company, but I was immediately blown away by its impressive portfolio of products. I’m struck by how innovation-driven Arkema is. People here don’t just stop at what they know how to do — they always try to suggest something new and useful to customers. Lots of customers realize this, and they look to us to invent products that don’t exist yet.” Ludovic has a thirst for variety and exploration, so it is not surprising that he joined, as he puts it, “a dynamic team that works on a global scale.” After learning the ropes in the Benelux region, he has stepped things up and now handles the orders of customers in Southern Europe, Israel, the United Arab Emirates and even Chile. He hasn’t lost his taste for new horizons. “Working for a growing company is exciting and motivating. You can move around, switch businesses, learn about other products or customers and tackle new challenges.”
