In thirty years’ time, the population is expected to reach 9.8 billion, over two thirds of whom will live in cities. This increasing urbanization, which will be particularly marked in Africa and Asia, will bring new needs for healthcare, food, water management and construction.
Many of the answers to these challenges can be found in industry’s ability to devise and produce the materials and solutions to produce better living conditions for everybody.
